Meisner Workshop Performance
April 7-May 6
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7-9:30pm
You’ve been in training, used the new skills in improvised and scripted scene work, and now it’s time to to put those skills to work: rehearsing a play.
*Read a full-length play and analyze it through the lenses of character, action, motif and theme.
*Learn to build character, score your script for beats, and trace your character’s journey from Act 1 to the end.
*Apply the skills you’ve learned to the process of rehearsing a play
*Perform scenes for an invited audience (virtually) on March 3
Must have experience in Meisner Technique
ACTING FOR NON-ACTORS:

Each week we will explore a different topic:
*the essential vocabulary of actors
*how to dissect a play
*to create character based on the play
*use action to tell the story
*heightened listening skills
*voice and physical training for the actor
